August 2006 - Thank You Baby's Tracy George, Erika Jones, and Nancy George visited Camp Periwinkle near Brenham Texas. Founded in 1983, Camp Periwinkle is a free one-week camp for patients ages 7-15 from the Texas Children's Cancer Center and their siblings. The goal of Camp Periwinkle is to rehabilitate the emotional well-being of children with cancer and blood disorders through uplifting camp activities in a safe environment away from the hospital routine. "We visited camp to experience the spirit of these children. We discovered that they have a lot to teach us about living life," said Jones. Thank You Baby will be creating a special book about Periwinkle's brave campers. "We will also create product lines inspired by the Periwinkle experience-and color-and donate proceeds to the founding organization," George said.
