Tracy George, a writer for many years, returned home to central Nebraska upon the birth of her daughter in 2004. She was drawn to the sensible Midwestern environment that she grew up in and desired the same for her little one. Along with the lifestyle change, she noticed a transformation in her writing. She was incredibly inspired by the lessons her daughter seemed to teach her everyday. She was growing to appreciate what she had somehow missed. More than ever, she was thankful for God’s many blessings and she wanted to share this with fellow parents.
Not long after she finished her first manuscript, she met fellow-central Nebraskan Erika Jones. Jones was a recent college graduate with an interest in illustration and an abiding dream to do books for children. George’s words and Jones’s images blossomed as the author and illustrator provided vast inspiration for each other. Thank You Baby was born in the summer of 2005, a company named for the many blessings we should give our kids thanks for. Thank You Baby’s first children’s book Everyday Blessings was published in May of 2006.
The author, a Nebraska native, is known for her voice of inspiration, hope and determination. She brings her words to life with her own experiences. Her work is relative to lifetime experiences shared throughout the world.
With the birth of her daughter Thank You Baby Books were created. The inspiration of her work predominantly revolves around God’s most precious gift – a child and a lifetime of experiences to thank them for as they bring life back to everything that surrounds us!
As a child, the author found writing as a means to relate to the world and its people. Journaling since the age of five, the author still holds close to her those actual journals of past years.

Erika Jones has gained local acclaim for the whimsical flair of her work. She is a painter specializing in watercolor and acrylics, most recently creating custom nursery artwork for children. She is inspired by the joy her work will bring to children and their parents today.
Nancy George, Tracy’s mom, has worked in medicine for over 38 years. A registered nurse by trade, Nancy is the wife of Fred George and also mother to Kerri George of Houston, Texas. She has always expressed her creative nature through her sewing projects. It seemed to be a natural step for her to pioneer the product division of Thank You Baby. She describes her work now to be “very fulfilling!”
Tracy and Nancy’s relationship goes beyond that of mother – daughter – they are best friends. When Tracy approached Nancy about the business and her dreams Nancy was more then supportive of her. What started as a small business plan has emerged into many new and exciting products and designs – which Nancy has been hands on in developing. Her dedication and drive have been an enormous motivation for the company and her designs keep getting better and better. Starting with a basic pillow and blanket in each collection – now the company designs over 17 collections of bedding and accessories ranging from infants to teens – with hopes of adult bedding the near future. Nancy brings a calmness and love for life to the balance the partners in Thank You Baby.
